HOW TO WEAR A CORRECT SHAPEWEAR

You’ve found the perfect dress, but have you thought about what you’ll be wearing under it yet? If you’re looking for a fashion quick fix that will leave you looking slimmer virtually and instantly, shapewear is the ultimate secret weapon.

This compression garment works its magic by “ironing” out all your bumps and curves – it’s like Photoshop for your actual three-dimensional body.

Getting Rid of VPL/VBL

VBL and VPL are not the most flattering sights, especially with tight fitting wedding gowns. Wearing the right shapewear then, can effectively smooth you inside out, getting rid of any unnecessary VPL/VBL effect.

A smooth and attractive, streamlined silhouette

Shapewear can effectively contour your body. At Neubodi, we emphasize on a three-dimensional cutting on our shapewear. This means that the fabric is tailored in accordance to a woman’s body structure --- taking into account every curve and line to ensure that all the curves are adequately supported and enhanced accordingly.

Boost your Confidence

With the right sized shaper, it will improve your posture, and help you combat targeted problem areas. This allows you to look exceptionally wonderful on your wedding day --- effectively boosting one’s self-confidence.

Top Tips on How to Buy the Right Shapewear

Stick True to Your Size

Be realistic.  Going down a shapewear size won’t help you zip yourself into a smaller dress. This is not the time to go down a size in attempt to make your shapewear “do more” for you. Getting the right size is the difference between barely breathing all night, and fully being able to breathe, eat and dance throughout the night. Too-tight shapewear may lead to health problems too, with the risk of compressing organs or nerves.

Work the Combos

Always look for ways to combine your undergarments and shapewear into one perfect piece. Shapewear comes in a seemingly endless array of styles and fabrics, starting from your chest down. Know what you want to slim and know your particular “problem” body parts and work it out from there! For example, if you want to slim your waist and minimize love handles, you can go for a waist cincher and a girdle combo.

Know your Control Level
There’s a variety of shapewear with different control levels. Based on the type of appearance you are looking for, you may consider different levels of control for your body shapers.  In general, there are three types of controls:

- Light Control
- Medium Control
- High Control

If you are looking for one that will feel comfortable and can be worn for long hours, the light control is your best bet. It has the least compression and is not as restrictive as the firm control. If you’re looking for a balanced body shaper, then the moderate control types of shapewear would be the choice for you, as it offers the best of both worlds, a balance between comfort and compression.

Know your Body Type

Understanding your body shape is the first step in finding out what type of shapewear you need to complement your body. Knowing your body type will give you a general idea on what area you would want to focus on to bring out that figure you desire when you put on a particular type of shapewear. You can work to accentuate body parts such as the bust, tummy or give your rear a more visible look. For example, a corset will be great if you want to give your waist a slimmer look while accentuating your bust line. If you want your midsection to have a slimmer appearance, go for tummy control such as girdles and bodysuits.
